Casa del Mar sits on one of the high lots along Via Esperanza, where the land tilts toward the ocean and the evening fog stays below the house. Architect-designed and finished in 2016, it combines smooth plaster walls, clay tile roofing and steel windows with the proportions of a contemporary family home.

The property includes a 50-foot saltwater pool, a detached studio used today as a gym, and room on the lower lawn for a small arena or a sport court, subject to Hope Ranch Park Homes Association approval.
